Life after SPS

Stratford Preparatory School seeks to ensure that each child finds the right Senior school for their next steps. Whilst the school supports children towards 11+ preparations for Warwickshire, in many cases our pupils receive scholarship offers to local independent schools as well as many electing to move to Arnold Lodge (around a third of our pupils progressed to Arnold Lodge for September 2024).

Providing the right guidance and support is a crucial part of our school. Alongside excellent teaching that enables pupils to achieve the best academic outcomes to unlock Grammar and/or Senior school offers, supporting and guiding families along their next steps with regular parent meetings is at the heart of helping children find the right school.

Pupils will go to a range of schools including Arnold Lodge School, K.E.S Grammar, Alcester Grammar, Stratford Grammar School for Girls, Warwick School, King's High School as well as local state offerings. For 2022-2023, 90% of pupils achieved a place at an academically selective school, including 60% achieving places within the Grammar system.

We are a school that prepares pupils. This does not just mean academically, but developing the ‘whole child’ to be ready for the progression to Senior School. Our school culture, with a focus on values of hard work, honesty and kindness, as well as opportunities beyond the curriculum, helps to make the children the very best they can be. When pupils do leave us, they do so with the knowledge, skills and personal ethos to be ambitious for their future success.
